A Letter From Our President

#

Greetings

It is an honor to serve as the president of the Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthetists and I am proud to welcome you to alabamacrna.org -- the home of the ALANA.

The ALANA is a strong association with a long history of advocating and promoting our profession. I am humbled to be part of it and to work beside such dedicated, tireless, and brilliant CRNAs. During these recent unprecedented times, the CRNAs of Alabama have really stepped up and shown our remarkable courage, outstanding advocacy for our patients, and what an invaluable resource we truly are. We have risen to the challenge and shown that we are a key part of the future of healthcare. But there is still work to be done. We must continue to educate not only our lawmakers and legislators, but also our family members, friends, neighbors, and the public about who we are, what we do, and how great we are at doing it!

I hope our members will find this website a source for information, news, and important events. Whether it be recent issues for CRNAs, registering for a meeting, or how to contact your board members, I hope you will find it here. We are here for you. If you’re not a member, please consider becoming one. We need all the CRNAs in our state -- together we can be Alabama strong!

For our patients, I hope this website can educate you about your upcoming surgery. We are your advocates and are here to protect and take care of you. If you have any questions, please reach out to us. We want you to be well-informed and at ease during your anesthetic experience.

We have risen to the challenge and shown that we are a key part of the future of healthcare. But there is still work to be done. We must continue to educate not only our lawmakers and legislators, but also our family members, and friends.

For students, I welcome you and your interest in our profession. I hope you will find the answers to your questions or who to reach out to for those answers. You are our future and we’re glad you’re here!

Please consider being a PAC contributor. It’s easy to donate to the ALA-CRNA PAC by clicking the tab at the top of this page. You can make a one-time donation or a monthly donation – by making the decision to support our PAC, you are helping to protect and support the nurse anesthesia profession in Alabama.

You will be seeing some changes to our website in the upcoming months. I’m very excited to see a new look for alabamacrna.org. These changes will be user-friendly and easy to navigate as we move together toward the future.

It is my privilege to serve the members of the ALANA and I look forward to serving the CRNAs of Alabama.
